Here at Escents, when stressful thoughts or feelings strike, the practice of mindful meditation paired with essential oils is our team’s go-to method for stress relief.

Meditation calms the body, mind, and spirit, allowing you to connect more deeply to the present moment. Starting to meditate can be tricky for some, but fortunately, essential oils are extremely helpful in creating a relaxing atmosphere and transporting you to a place of inner peace.

 

Air Therapy with Essential Oils

The fastest way to experience the amazing healing powers of essential oils is through inhalation. With an aroma diffuser, it’s easy to use essential oils to create a tranquil environment. Here are some of our favorite oils to diffuse during meditation sessions:

Sandalwood essential oil: helpful in healing emotional wounds. It opens the heart and helps to promote trust.

Rose Otto essential oil: helpful in opening the heart up to receive love – particularly self-love.

Frankincense essential oil: believed to help increase spiritual awareness and promotes deeper breathing.

Neroli essential oil: promotes self-acceptance and increases your courage to face your fears.

Clary sage essential oil: cleanses and purifies the body, removing negative energies. It is grounding and restores balance and energy.

If you do not have an aroma diffuser, you can create your own essential oil mist by adding 35 drops of your favorite essential oil to our Scentless Spray Mist.

 

Balancing Your Third Eye with Essential Oils

Right between your eyebrows lies your Third Eye Chakra. It is one of the most powerful spiritual chakras. When the Third Eye Chakra is balanced, you feel clear-headed, calm, honest, and compassionate. On the other hand, when your Third Eye Chakra is out of balance, you feel tired, foggy, indecisive, disconnected, and disoriented, making it difficult for you to focus on your meditation practice.

One of our favorite ways to restore balance to the Third Eye Chakra is by applying a small amount of diluted Bergamot essential oil to the Third Eye Chakra. You can create your own diluted  Bergamot essential oil by adding 2 drops to a teaspoon of Jojoba oil. Bergamot is liberating and promotes the release of old rigid thought patterns, making room for fresh new thoughts and perspectives.
